Description
Great Flemish painting from the second half of the 17th century. Oil on canvas artwork depicting an interior scene with a fish seller and a splendid still life in the foreground. In fact, we see a table laden with lobsters, crabs and other fish species painted with great skill and attention to detail. The seller and her husband behind the counter observe us, breaking the fourth wall, thus making us participate in the scene. 20th century frame in carved and gilded wood, beautifully decorated, with some signs of aging. Painting already restored with re-lining, replacement of the frame and re-colouring in small spots. Overall, the painting is in good condition. Interior size H 88 x W 121 cm.
