Original oil on board painting of twilight on the Cornish coast with figures and fishing boats on shore by Frank Rawlings Offer. The painting has a wonderful tonalist quality. Signed lower right. Circa 1895. Condition is very good. Wonderful gilt frame with inner linen liner. Overall framed measurements are 13.25 by 21.25 inches. Provenance: Southampton, Long Island estate.

ARTIST "Frank Rawlings Offer" 1847 - 1932 Painter mainly oil, of Coastal Scenes and Town Views, born in Trowbridge in 1847, around 1889 he moved to Southampton where he opened an Artists Material Shop and Studio. In 1900 he moved to the Manchester area where he continued to paint whilst living at various addresses in Warrington, Altringham and Eccles.
