Born in France during the 19th century, this elegant oil on canvas depicts a luscious bouquet of pink, white and yellow roses overflowing a small wicker basket. Standing out beautifully on a neutral background rendered with large strokes, this bouquet is placed on a tabletop. The fallen rose and petals placed at the edge of the surface create a subtle sense of depth.
