French Napoleon III 1860s Still-Life Oil Painting Depicting Roses and Fruits
-
Description
A French Napoleon III period oil on canvas still-life painting from the mid-19th century, depicting fruits and flowers in giltwood frame. Born in France during the reign of Emperor Napoleon III, this oil on canvas painting depicts a delicate arrangement of fruits and flowers standing out beautifully on a neutral background. The roses on the right, displayed in a grey glazed vase, are leading our eyes to the mouth-watering grapes, pears and apples depicted on the left of the composition. Set inside a carved giltwood frame, this French oil on canvas still-life painting circa 1860 will enliven any wall, perhaps hung above a commode, credenza or console table.
