Late Edo period, late 18th century, painting of a spirit of a beautiful woman with long, flowing hair. Signature and seal of Toyokuni (Toyokuni I: 1769 - 1825), a famous ukiyo-e printmaker and painter. Mineral pigments on mulberry paper mounted on silk brocade. Painting size: 45 1/2" x 11 1/2" w. Overall size: 70" h x 16" w.
