Kano school painting with colorful and intricate details, as well as interesting interactions between the pheasants. A brilliant Autumn colored maple tree extends across the whole painting, with finely painted fall flowers below, including coxcomb, and hills and a river in the background. Edo period (c. 1800) painting in mineral pigments on mulberry paper with gold dust and a silk brocade border.
