Abstracted painting of ships moored in the background. Painted by Nishide Kofuku and exhibited at the 1963 Nitten National Exhibition. Kofuku was born in 1926 in Shiga Prefecture. He graduated the Kyoto University of Arts before taking up residence in the Shincho-sha Salon of Yamaguchi Kayo where he exhibited along with the Nitten National exhibitions and Kyoten. He received many awards and was accepted into the Nitten 43 times and the Ni-Shunten 7 times. His work is featured in the book Shiga no Nihonga (1992). Japanese heavy pigments on paper frame mounted on thick panels. Metal frame with brass hardware and metal hinges.
