Beautiful, original acrylic on board painting by the well known Hampton artist, John Crimmins. Signed lower left. Condition is excellent. The scene depicts Fifth Avenue in New York City on a snowy evening with flags flying and snow swirling. Framed in a beautiful gold leaf gallery frame. Overall framed 23 by 20 inches.
East End artist, John Crimmins was born in New York in 1963. As a Long Island, New York artist, John Crimmins is entirely self-taught. He is inspired by the techniques and palette of the great American Impressionist painters as well as the work of Charles Hawthorne. He is especially known for his flag, New York and beach scenes. He is a member of the East End Arts Council and his paintings are a part of the Ken Ratner Collection and the Southold Historical Society in New York. -
