    Provenance: Private Collection, Connecticut.
    John White Allen Scott, born in Roxbury Massachusetts in 1815, spent his career in the Boston area.
    He apprenticed under Boston lithographer, William Pendleton. In the mid-1840s he worked with Fitz Henry Lane producing lithographs. Scott exhibited at the Boston Atheneum and Boston Art Club.
