Description
“Falling sun” (120 X 100cm). Rich blue, rich gold. A large canvas here made hot with thick layers of glowing paint. The sand beneath the simple fishing boat has been plated, metal-like and opulent with the palette knife. Colour has been mixed on the canvas itself as it was applied. A flowing burnished effect. Julian is in his element.
