Description
Presenting a gorgeous 20th century original monumentally large oil on canvas by M. Picot.
This is a beautiful still life painting of fruit in classical style.
We believe that the artist was one Madeline Picot, a Dallas, TX based artist of the mid to late 20th Century.
The scene depicts grapes on the vine, peaches, squash, plums, pineapples and flowers on draped or posed on a stone/marble table or bench.
Gorgeous colors, oranges, reds, green, peach, plum, yellow etc. beautifully painted by a very talented hand.
We have been unable to find any records relating to M. Picot, but in our opinion, he/she was no ordinary painter as this painting exudes real quality.
We are of the opinion that this is a mid-late 20th century piece.
Signed in the bottom left.
In lovely giltwood frame. -
