A monumental oil on canvas in The manner of the Old Masters showing a maiden to be deflowered. This palatial oil on canvas from the late 19th or early 20th century is simply stunning and bears the most wonderful quality one could possibly hope for. The finely detailed scene showing a young man and his lovely girl taking to the hills with her blushing passively. The unframed painting measuring some, 68.5 inches in height and having a width of 48 inches is framed in a magnificent carved gilt gold Rococo shell carved and gilt wood frame. The painting in the frame measures an outstanding: height 87 in and width 67 in deep 5.5 in the frame with some minor imperfections having been repaired.
