Pair of Japanese Two Panel Screens: Sudari and Fans

Description
This unique pair of two panel screens are beautifully painted on front and back. Screen A: Front side- Six Edo period fans under painted bamboo shades (sudari) with tassels, draped with vines. Pigment, gold flake and ink on paper. One fan spuriously signed Okyo (Maruyama Okyo 1733-1795) and dated 1789. The others mostly signed Keibun (Matsumura Keibun 1779-1843, who learned painting under Okyo) Reverse side - Pine Tree; ink on paper, signed Seiko. Yokoyama Seiko 1792-1864 was a student of Matsumura Keibun. His student also used the same name (Okajima Seiko) Screen B: Front side - Five Edo period fans under painted bamboo shades (sudari) with tassels, draped with vines. Pigment, gold flake and ink on paper. Fans mostly signed Keibun (Matsumura Keibun 1779-1843, who learned painting under Okyo) Reverse side - Plum Tree; ink on paper, signed Seiko.
