Original oil on canvas painting of a seaside vista by the American artist, Robert Waltsak. Signed lower left. Condition is excellent. Overall framed in a grey wash frame with gold highlights. Overall framed measurements are 31.25 by 37.25 inches. Provenance: A Brooklyn, New York collector.
Robert Alan Waltsak is a New Jersey Landscape painter who draws his inspiration from the work of the Hudson River School. The pallette he uses was originally developed by the late Frank Vincent Dumond. Waltsak was born in 1944 in Newark, New Jersey. The artist currently resides in Little Falls, New Jersey. He studied at the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts (NSFIA), at the School of Visual Arts in New York, and the Ridgewood Art Institute with John Philip Osborne. He is a multiple prize winner at the Hudson River Art Association and the Ridgewood Art Institute. -
