Exquisite, rare acrylic on board post modern painting by the American artist, Akio Matsuyoski. Signed middle left. Condition is excellent. Executed in 1998. Framed in a new contemporary custom silver leaf gallery frame 24 by 19.25 inches overall. Provenance: Estate of the artist.
Akio Matsuyoshi Biography:
Robin Akio Matsuyoshi was born on the island of Kauai in Hawaii on January 5, 1955. He goes by his middle name Akio for personal recognition. He began painting in the third grade, and was encouraged to pursue a career in commercial art by his high school art teacher. He attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and moved to New York after graduating. Akio continued to paint, while accepting commissions for editorial illustrations. He believes that art expression is a product of one's imagination, and most of his work is created with acrylic paint on board and canvas. Akio has painted large murals for local business owners in New York. -
