Sax Berlin's Skull series form part of his Neo-Expressionist works. Berlin works with speed on these pieces, gives them a sense of urgency. In "person" they are electric and magnetic, and form a dialogue of the immediate with the viewer.

No doubting the message of this Skull, but one can detect a strange poignancy in it. This Skull is young but worldly and diminished. There's a lingering presence here and it's very powerful.
