Description
Sometimes the quality of the Australian atmosphere can be so pure that an object on the horizon can have the same clarity as one at arms reach. This phenomenon is what “Late Winter Profile” explores. The plants in this painting include a variety of native Australian trees with differing colors and textures that can be seen from the artist’s backyard. In front of this appears a cropped piece of children's play equipment with a colorful crochet blanket as evidence of the domestic setting for this landscape.
