Nude Dancer with Ornate Floral Head dress and Japanese Lantern - Carnival
-
Description
A stunning, beautiful nude dancer exhibiting ideal proportions and crowned with an ornate floral headdress holds a luminescent Japanese Lantern. The lantern glows, and the dancer glows back in this light-infused painting. The background shows a Japanese screen with cranes. The painting exudes a lush, joyful sensuality. The effect is both visually lovely and provocative. It is signed lower right. It is elegantly housed in a Spanish-style black and gold frame.
Good overall condition having scatterd horizontal ge-related craquelure lines. There are about 10 very fine craquelure lines mostly visible on close inspection. The work has been cleaned and the colors are saturated and pop and look better in person. -
