Capturing a tranquil Dune landscape that Carl referred to as Netherwood Dunes. This significant painting is one of the last remaining large scale water color works available. This style of water color is exactly the essence of W. Carl Burger's work. Earning him renowned notoriety as a master in abstract impressionism landscapes of which his career was built on being the foundation of his exhibits and museum collections. This work was created in 2009 the peek period of what is considered by collectors Carl's best works period 1990 - 2015, said to be Carl's "Authentic Voice Style".

Carl Burger - 1925-2023 American Artist , Abstract Impressionism, noted works in Oil and Water color. A lifetime artist with established collections held in The Butler Institute of American Art Museum, The Budapest Museum of fine Arts, The Morris Museum, The Noyes Museum of Art, The New Jersey State Museum, Newark Museum, and The Princeton University Art Museum. With also noted corporate collections including British Airways, Warner Communications, American Telephone and Telegraph, Johnson & Johnson, Nabisco World Headquarters, Schering-Plough, Ortho Pharmaceuticals and countless private collections.
W. Carl Burger began receiving awards early in his career. Several to note, The annual award for contemporary art by Marcel Duchamp, Grumbacher Award, Windsor Newton Award, Salmagundi Autobahn Artists, Ailed artists, National Arts Club, New Jersey Water Color Society, and recently in 2016 was the first artist to receive The New Jersey Master Artist Award. Carl has also found his way to TV, having been the subject for two NJN Public Television Documentary’s, in 2009 “State of the Arts”, 2016 “Urge to Paint” and also featured in “New Jersey Artists Through Time” a book by Tova Navarra 2014. During his lengthy career having exhibits including Lincoln Center, the National Academy of Design New York, the Philadelphia Art Museum, the Smithsonian Institute, the New Jersey State Museum, the Morris Museum and international exhibits in Budapest and Germany. -
