  • Description
    Four watercolors representing spring, summer, autumn and winter, taken from an English set of prints or engravings that were available in the late eighteenth century. Although undated, they were most likely executed in the 1790's by a young lady

    Condition: They are in fine original condition and retain the original eglomise glasses and cherry and pine frames. Winter is laid down on paper with tears, toning and losses; back board replaced. Summer has a loss at the proper right corner and a tear on the proper left bottom, about ½” from bottom (not visible in mat). Spring and Summer with poems on reverse.
