Description
The saguaro cactus is one of the most iconic symbols of the American Southwest. After spending time amongst them in Arizona's Sonoran Desert, photographer Andrew Johnson set out to create an intimate and graphic series that offers a glimpse into their individual forms and patterns which, he says, are like fingerprints. Johnson describes the Saguaros as "...sharp and soft at the same time, both masculine and feminine, timeless and cyclical."
These are first prints in an edition of 15, and the images are numbered I (Black) and XIV (White)
