A visually arresting photograph by John Patrick Dugdale (American, born 1960-) titled "Stillness of Spirit". Relatively large in print size, the work depicts a partial view of a young man's back between light and shadow. The silver gelatin chloro-bromide print has a warm tone of vintage quality, a signature of the artist's work due to his lost eyesight. The composition, the lighting and the print color has a breathtaking and ethereal quality to it.
The print is made in 1996 as no. 2 from an edition of 6. It was dry mount on board by the artist and hand titled, dated and signed by the artist. Size of the photograph is 14.8" x 19"; and it is housed in a retro gilt wood frame under museum plexiglass. -
