Description
Art imitates life. A five-story wall painting of a verdant tree seamlessly blends in with a similar tree in the foreground, creating a double take. To the immediate right, directional light grazes an ornate New York City facade. The composition is punctuated by an American flag soaked in light.
The work is signed, dated, and numbered 3/15, lower right recto. printed later , Other sizes are available and the fine art photograph is unframed. Printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art paper.
Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of " Color Photography" In 1970 he participated in one of the first " Color Photography" shows at a major museum. As an undergrad in painting, he studied with great teachers such as first-generation abstract expressionist Robert Richenburg and hyper-realist painter Janet Fish. In Graduate School he worked with famed critic E.C. Goossen and went on to work as a Photographer, New York Advertising Art Director, and Art Collector.
