Post Impressionist New York City Fountain Scene - like Georges Seurat
-
Description
Dancing waters emanate from a New York City fountain to fill the sky with thousands of circles of light. Bystanders mingle in the mist as Street Photographer Mitchell Funk captures them through the waters with a long lens. This is a straight shot without digital manipulation. Funk is paring down photography to its bare essentials, and in this work, we see a Georges Seurat-like pointillism realized in photographic terms.
Signed, dated, and numbered 2/15 lower right recto, other sizes available and printed later and unframed. This work is printed on fine art Hahnemuhle paper.
