Description
This is a straight photograph without digital manipulation. Each block of roses contains 24 flowers. One level of roses is most visible but there is another level directly beneath that adds subtle depth and density. The key to photographing flowers is preproduction. Flowers wilt quickly. I am happy to say that one of the central factors to the appeal of this image is the freshness of the subject matter.
Robert Funk is a pioneer of Staged Photography, Toy Photography, Miniature Photography and Thingie Photography works going back to 1972. He was widely published in the late 1970s and early 1980s. -
