Collection of three hand-colored map engravings illustrating spheres in ornate Rococo borders by Louis Brion de la Tour (1743-1803) and Louis Charles Desnos (circa 1725-1805); Published by Louis Charles Desnos; Paris, 1766; conservation framed in parcel-gilt black painted wood frames with painted foliate motif corners and French matted with marbled borders. The titles are as follows: "Sphere de Copernic / Sphere de Ptolemee", "Demonstrations Geometriques, des Spheres Droite, Paralelle, et Oblique", and "Sphere Droite / Sphere Paralelle". Image size: 16.5" by 14.5".
