Believe it or not, this color-dusted fowl was originally born all white. One of my favorite aspects of photographing animals is learning about all of the details beneath the surface. As I watched Phillip’s many hues reflect and refract the light, I couldn’t help but silently celebrate the colorful complexities he’d acquired throughout his life. What a wonderful metaphor for the many ways we all seem to grow and change along the way.
