    About the artist :

Robert R. Copple, born in Los Angeles in 1963, is an American artist renowned for his photorealistic wildlife paintings. From an early age, he exhibited a profound passion for both art and nature. This dual interest led him to Cornell University, where he graduated in 1985 with a major in painting and minors in photography, ornithology, and biology field studies. Throughout his career, Copple has been dedicated to creating original artworks across various media, including sculpture. In 1990, he pioneered a mixed-media art form known as "Illusionary Images," which seamlessly blends painting and photography.
Copple's commitment to nature conservation is evident through his collaborations with organizations such as The Audubon Society, Sierra Club, and Ducks Unlimited. His works have been showcased in esteemed institutions, including the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History, and the C.M. Russell Museum in Great Falls, Montana. Over the years, Copple has been honored as Artist of the Year or Featured Artist at numerous galleries, shows, and charity events. Notably, in 2010, he was chosen as Disney's first featured artist at their Signature Wine and Food Festival, where his work was exhibited for six weeks at California Adventure in Disneyland.
His art has also been featured in various media outlets, including "Good Morning America," The Discovery Channel, and Disney TV. Additionally, his work has graced the covers and pages of magazines such as Western Art Collector, Southwest Art, and Wildlife Art News.
Currently, Copple continues to broaden his artistic horizons through contact with Native American culture, history, artifacts, and spiritual beliefs, serving as inspiration for a new series of paintings.
