Sold Sold
  • Description
A limited-edition lithograph , titled "Romains, s'il est Quelqu'un Parmi Vous à qui l'Amour soit Inconnu, Qu'il lise Mes Vers," is part of Salvador Dalí’s ( Spanish, 1904-1989) renowned series inspired by Ovid's "L' Art d'aimer" (The Art of Loving). Created in 1979 and published by Chevalier & Navarre, this piece is numbered 132 out of a total edition of 225, with Dalí’s distinctive hand signature on the lower right, underscoring its authenticity and collectible value. The artwork is a visual representation of Ovid's musings on love, expressed through Dalí’s surrealist lens. In this piece, Dalí masterfully blends abstract and figurative elements, rendering a scene that embodies the poetic spirit and emotional complexity of romance. A central figure, flowing with movement and passion, appears intertwined with another, capturing the dynamic allure and mystery of love. The vibrant colors—bold reds, deep greens, and warm earthy tones—evoke both vitality and depth, resonating with the themes of longing and desire.

The inscription at the top, interpreted from Ovid’s verse, invites the viewer to discover love through art and poetry, echoing Dalí’s fascination with the universal yet enigmatic nature of human connection. As part of Dalí’s "L' Art d'aimer" series, this piece not only reflects his unique style but also pays homage to classical literature, making it a fusion of visual and literary art, steeped in timeless themes of love and passion.

The art work is finely presented in a custom cherry lacquer frame with gold lines details. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity
