Very unusual antique Japanese lacquered keyaki wood figure of a seated tiger. This powerful animal is carved with hunched shoulders, extending into closed forelegs; a sinuous curling tail held upright by its side; details of facial features, claws and textured fur crisply and sensitively carved.
