Description
Bright, shiny pink sculpture made of 8 parts of powder-coated steel pieces, in a complex artistic and technical process. Each angle provides a different view of the piece and a myriad of optical scenes to contemplate. A strong cheerful piece in space that alludes a whimsical approach with its geometric build and organic forms. Misha Milovanovitch is a prolific and versatile artist working in painting, ceramics, and sculpture, originally from Belgrade, living in London for the past 30 years. The sculpture can be used outdoor and indoor.
We take commissions for larger scale pieces.
Edition of 3 + 2 AP, each colour is a unique piece. Other colors are possible.
Characterised by vivid colour, optical movement and energetic visual cadences, Misha's visual work fuses a diverse repertoire of images and forms and is often a symphonic abstraction. Her colourful, densely layered works are held in a state of tension between order and chaos, rational structure and spontaneity. She combines depth and surface relief, orchestrating bold contrasts of form, texture, and space in her pictures. An intimate colour palette of bodily fluids - red, pink, white, black, yellow and brown - animate the writhing forms and the refracted memories of cartoonish cultural production.
Misha's artistic progenitors include her mentor Martin Kippenberger, Wassily Kandinsky and Phillip Guston as well as contemporary artists Gilbert and George, Keith Tyson, Robert Pruitt and Jim Lambie. -
