Original watercolor on archival paper of a rural homestead, most likely in North Smithfield, Rhode Island, home of the artist for 70 years. Signed lower left, “A. Pasquale”. The condition is very good with no issues. Framed in a silvered colored thin metal frame. Overall measurements are 22.25 by 28.25. Under glass. Provenance: Sarasota, Florida estate.
Albert Pasquale was a member of the Providence Art Club, Rockport Art Association, Providence Watercolor Club, Rhode Island Watercolor Society, Wickford Art Association, North Shore Art Association and the Attleboro Museum. He was also the resident artist of High Winds Studio. He won many prestigious art awards throughout his career. Pieces of his art were shown in many galleries throughout the country and highly sought after by collectors both here and abroad. He was the recipient of many awards including The Providence Art Club Award, The W. Alden Brown, Clinton and Eleanor Knight Awards, The Tilda Stone Memorial Award, The Trustee's Award- Attleboro Museum and numerous "Best of Show" awards. A man of humble origin, his art reflects what we all have surrounding us in nature, but seldom take the time to see. He presented an intimate look at nature by using various art mediums such as oils, watercolors and acrylics. Albert Pasquale died in 2016 at the age of 93. -
