"Rush Light" Framed Pastel On Paper By Jim Waid, Companion Piece Available
-
Description
In "Rush Light" 1989, artist Jim Waid through his mastery of pastel on paper, reflects a microcosmic view of nature that would otherwise be purely abstract without the sporadic depiction of suggestive fauna. Organic shapes are richly layered with shades of celadon, turquoise, blue, red, fuscia, peach and pale pink with accents of black to form a dynamic and atmospheric deconstruction of the physical world. "Light Rush" is framed in a whitewashed wood frame with a linen matte. Signed lower right, Riva Yates Gallery label on verso. There is a companion piece, "Spindle," of the same dimensions shown in the last photo.
