Description
Here for your consideration is an original drawing done with conte crayon with hints of watercolor of a floating market place by the French artist, Robert Beat. Signed lower left. Circa 1950. Condition is very good. Professionally matted but not framed. Overall mat size is 20 by 16 inches. Provenance: Sarasota gentleman.
A floating market is a market where goods are sold from boats. Originating in times and places where water transport played an important role in daily life, most floating markets operating today mainly serve as tourist attractions, and are chiefly found in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and India. -
