Mechanical Bank "Magic Bank" Circa 1876

Description
Manufactured in 1876 by the J. & E. Steven's Company in Cromwell, Connecticut, this cast iron bank measures 4 3/4" long x 5 1/4" high. It is in excellent all original condition and paint with no repairs and no touch-up or repaint. It also has the original slide trap.
The bank operates as follows:
with the door open and snapped into place, put a coin on the tray in front of the cashier; press the knob on the side of the bank; the cashier spins around taking the coin with him into the bank exposing the other side of the door with a floral motif.
The bank was made in three color variations. This is the blue/off white version. -
