Chinese Folding Floor Screen with Stone Insets

Description
A six panel hinged folding floor screen from China circa end of 19th century to early 20th century. Constructed in a rosewood family hardwood likely Hong Mu. Each panel features three sections of black lacquered panels inlaid with a variety of objects carved from hard stones. The top features flowers in vases, desk top scholar objects such as seal and brush pen holders; the middle showcases collections of archaist bronze vessels, and the bottom is permeated with various auspicious symbols and additional antique vessels. The back is more subdued and decorated with gold lacquer inlay of floral and other traditional symbols.
