Kazuhide Takahama for Gavina Decorative Panel mod. Rhinoceros
-
Description
Kazuhide Takahama studied architecture at university in Tokyo from 1949, taking his degree in 1953. He's, however, primarily known as a furniture and lighting designer. Kazuhide Takahama met furniture-maker Dino Gavina in Milan in 1957 and remained in Italy to design for Gavina's firm. Kazuhide Takahama's designs are distinguished by clarity of line and form, qualities that reveal his Japanese origins. He too worked a lot as an architect, especially in Bologna, where he created the facade of the city airport and all the bus shelters scattered around the city.
Here we have a Decorative Panel mod. Rhinoceros designed by Kazuhide Takahama and Claude and Francois-Xavier Lalanne, produced by Gavina in the 1976.
Structure in lacquered, silk-screened and hand-painted wood, composed of five panels.
The measurements of each panel are: 219 x 45 x 2 cm. -
