18th Century Swedish Baroque Period Secretary With Library In Original Paint

Description
A Swedish Baroque period slant-front secretary from the 18th century in two parts with arched cornice and shaped apron. Brass hardware and original locks, circa 1770. The paint has been hand-scraped down to the original paint surface. The slant-front opens to reveal 12 small drawers and a centre pigeon hole behind the writing surface. The raised panel doors, adorned with brass escutcheons, open to reveal three small drawers and inner shelves, including a slotted spoon rack. The desk surface height is 31.13 inches and the depth with the desk open is 33.44 inches.
