Description
This spectacular Edwardian Bouille inlaid And bronze-mounted Abattant chest desk has been meticulously refinished and hand rubbed French polished to its original form. Having wonderfully chiselled bronze mounts with an overwhelming inlay of satinwood and mother-of-pearl design this chest that opens to Revel a working desk is certain to turn heads. The opening has a felt writing service and two parquetry inlaid drawers as well as a shelved area with etched engraved working lock mechanism. The inside itself measures 21.75 W x 13.5 H The whole supporting a white marble top and brass inlaid sides. Original in all its glory.
