Striking pair of architectural mid-century modern two-tier walnut nightstands or end tables by American of Martinsville, circa 1960’s. “Dania” line, designed by Merton Gershun, is one of the most esteemed furniture producers of the Mid-century era. Each end table features a minimalist design with two, deep dovetailed drawers. Each with sculpted slatted facade, louvered fronts and black laminate lower tier top. Solid walnut mid century tapered legs lend support with detailed sculpted stretchers. Maker’s name stamped inside drawer (American of Martinsville). Beautiful matched elegant sleek, nightstands/ tables perfect as bedside nightstands or for in the living room.
Condition Report: Original finish, with minor wear and light use indicators, overall nice surface condition. Drawers slide open smoothly; solid, strong and sturdy, the base is tight level and supportive, interior is clean, construction is strong and sturdy.
