Description
A circa 1790 Reading clock by Daniel Rose (1749–1827), the most important of the area’s clockmakers, building works that few could rival. The superb walnut case is attributed to the Reading carver, John Cunnius (1733–1808) with finely detailed tobacco leaves on the corner columns and cartouche, and pineapple finials.
