ENGLISH 19TH CENTURY PAINTED CHEST OF DRAWERS
-
Description
A wonderful painted pine chest of drawers, made in England circa 1890. This five-drawer chest has been painted with sweet trimmed details, done in a dark brown tone, over a mellow, antiqued creamy yellow. The topmost drawers are half the size of the lower three graduated drawers, all outfitted with turned walnut knobs and faux painted escutcheons. Painted pieces are sought by designers and individuals alike, as their colorful presence can be a welcomed change in a sea of wood and the introduction of a colored piece can go a long way! This wonderful, square chest is lifted by a base with shaped skirt and styled bracket feet. The chest has no working locks or keys.
