Beautifully-grained walnut was selected when creating this emblematic Louis Philippe buffet in France, circa 1880. The top has canted corners that correspond to those found on the base. Three drawers are located above the buffet’s cavity, all outfitted with styled turned wood knobs. Large panel doors lock before an interior that harbors a single fixed shelf. The lock’s keyhole is embellished with a shield-form brass escutcheon, lock is in working condition. Ogee-moulded feet lift the case piece and complete the Louis Philippe motif. -
