French Renaissance carved oak sideboard 18th century
-
Description
This piece is a brown oak French Renaissance sideboard that dates from the 1700’s. It’s made from solid oak and the ornate designs have been painstakingly carved. It’s an extravagant antique piece with all the striking woodwork that French Renaissance pieces are celebrated for. Additionally, the piece includes all the original ironwork—like the elegant handles at either side and the sturdy, complex hinges. The cabinet doors open to reveal ample, functional shelving for hidden storage in modern homes. The top is protected by a smoked glass cover. This beautiful sideboard, with its smooth carvings and antique ironwork, is quite a rare find. It is in good vintage condition.
