Rare circa 1770 English George III period mahogany 'bonnet' or 'hat' chest having upper pull-out baize-lined brushing slide above two deep drawers, the top with divided compartment, on bracket foot base.

Origin: England Period: 18th Century Materials: Mahogany, oak, brass, wool baize Condition: Good. Wear commensurate with age and use. Originally fitted with two-bore bail pulls; "updated" in the Regency period with the current brass ring pulls; possibly original baize with wear and staining.
