Pair of French Lacquered Mahogany and Brass Low Nightstands by Guy Lefèvre
-
Description
Exquisite, low side tables/nightstands designed by Guy Lefèvre for Maison Jansen (ca. 1975, France). Composed of lacquered mahogany chests supported by brass cradles. Single drawers smoothly slide open via modernist, sculptural, brass pulls. Scarcely seen, short, deep examples (H: 14.25" x L: 14.88" x D: 22.38").
Patina/light wear to unpolished brass bases; cases have been professionally re-lacquered in a cordovan color -- an identical match to the original lacquer. One continuous crazing line present (very hard to detect and only visible in direct sunlight, as shown). Additionally, there is light cloudiness to one side. Overall, very fine, vintage condition.
