Pair of small cream black lacquer brass commodes by J.C. Mahey 1970s
-
Description
These twin small chest of drawers in a beautiful cream and black lacquer could serve spacious nightstands in a bedroom, sturdy end tables in a living room or office, or as small commodes in a bedroom dressing room. The crisp mix of light cream and black lacquer has a beautiful visual impact, Chanel like feel, with the brass details blending into the lacquer almost seamlessly. Designed by Jean-Claude Mahey for Roche Bobois in the 1970’s, these commodes are typical of the French designer. Fully restored, and relacquered, the pieces are in a great vintage condition.
