Description
An imposing kingwood commode by de Jeune,
the original rouge marble top set upon the shaped base with three wide serpentine drawers, decorated throughout with cross-banding and chevron, herring-bone and quarter-veneers, richly applied with high-quality ormolu mounts comprising C-scrolls, acanthus leaves and scallop shells. Stamped ‘de Jeune’. French, c1760
