Description
Pair of paint decorated Hollywood Regency marble-top bronze mounted commodes. The green painted case with fine bronze mounts having three graduating drawers. The two bronze framed lower drawers with scenes of putti dancing in the clouds under a bronze framed shorter drawer with bronze scroll and shell design. The angular corners with bronze framed mounts depicting babies flowing onto the finely decorated side panels that are concave in form. The whole supporting a very think white marble top. A similar commode sold in Christies in NY for $30,000.
