Fantastic large Danish Rosewood storage cabinet by designer Poul Hundevad. This amazing vintage rosewood veneer storage cabinet/ hutch features a large open divided storage cavity above a divided closed storage cabinet resting on a modern recessed plinth base. This stunning rosewood veneer cabinet features a large open upper hutch with fully adjustable shelving throughout the upper unit and a small opening along the bottom back to allow for wire management. The lower divided cabinet features a bi-fold door with a striking book matched cathedral rosewood veneer on the left-facing side that includes a fitted interior with two adjustable shelves in contrasting light veneer. The right-facing side has four stacking large dovetail drawers that ride on a recessed wood rail. The rosewood drawers feature sculpted recessed wood pulls that allow for easy access and are in keeping with a minimalist mid century look. This practical piece was designed as part of an office suite but can easily be used in a home office or throughout the home for media storage or display. The vertical storage can be used for files, albums or literature storage or can be removed to create a larger open display area. Additionally, the upper hutch can be removed and used separately from the lower cabinet. The functionality of this piece is endless. The Maker’s label on the back of the unit reads HU of Denmark. The Poul Hundevad Furniture Company in Denmark is known for their high end craftsmanship and cutting edge design.
